General Science Content
Home Science Lab
Even though you’ll be studying online, hands-on lab work is a requirement of every WGU science degree program. Upon enrollment, you will be sent a home science lab specific to your chosen area of study. This self-contained laboratory kit includes the lab manual, science equipment, specimens, supplies, and chemicals necessary to complete college lab experiments at home. The experiments reinforce science content and teach you laboratory techniques.
Teacher Performance Assessment
This master's degree program culminates with a Teacher Performance Assessment, which contains a comprehensive, original, research-based curriculum unit designed to meet an identified educational need. It provides direct evidence of the student's ability to design and implement a multi-week, standards-based unit of instruction, assess student learning, and then reflect on the learning process.
