Now Playing On a Screen Near You: Four Brand New WGU Tennessee Commercials

Sunday's lopsided football may be in the history books, but people are still buzzing about which TV commercials made the biggest splash. As always, some commercials received plaudits for being clever and original, some were controversial, and some were just plain weird.

At WGU Tennessee, we're talking a lot about TV commercials this week, too, but not those commercials. We're excited because we have unveiled our own brand-new TV spots – now airing across Tennessee.

The new commercials were shot entirely in Tennessee, and feature real Tennesseans whose lives have improved as a result of attaining a degree through WGU Tennessee. Watching them, you'll meet Jill Howard, chief operating officer at TriStar Skyline Medical Center. Jill earned her MBA in Healthcare Management from WGU, and she talks about the tremendous impact her degree has made in her career, as well as the opportunities it provided for her family.

You'll also meet a few members of the WGU Tennessee Advisory Board, a group of 11 of the state's business, education, and nonprofit leaders invested in our mission of expanding access to affordable higher education for all Tennesseans. Some of Tennessee's (and the nation's) best-known companies are represented in the TV spots. John Steele, vice president of human resources at HCA, discusses the quality and value of a degree from WGU Tennessee. David Golden, senior vice president, chief legal officer, and corporate secretary for Eastman Chemical, talks about the flexibility and affordability of our online degree programs.

You can watch the new commercials below, including a 60-second spot that is exclusively online. Stay tuned to our Facebook page this week, where we'll be sharing behind-the-scenes photos and stories from the shoot!
