News Brief - 10/13/16 NASHVILLE Matt Griffin has joined WGU Tennessee as public relations manager. In his new role, Griffin will be responsible for all communications efforts for WGU Tennessee, including promoting the nonprofit, online university’s value for potential students, employers, partners, and other key audiences in communities across the state. “WGU Tennessee has worked hard to successfully establish a statewide presence since our launch three years ago,” said Dr. Kimberly K. Estep, chancellor of WGU Tennessee. “As we continue to support Tennessee’s higher education initiatives, such as the Drive to 55, Matt’s expertise will help us raise our profile even more in order to reach potential students.” Griffin has recently served as campaign manager for Holly McCall’s bid for the state House of Representatives. He also served as a media and legislative spokesman for Tennesseans for Ticketing Rights, as communications director and deputy campaign manager for Linda Rebrovick’s mayoral campaign in Nashville, and as an account supervisor for MP&F Public Relations. A West Tennessee native, Griffin received his bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Memphis in 2005.
